Scholarships

To promote accessibility and inclusivity, the EFPSA Congress 2026 Organising Committee offers a limited partial scholarship to participants for whom attending the Congress would otherwise not be financially feasible.

Each scholarship covers 50% of the accommodation costs, including all meals included in the standard ticket, for the full duration of the Congress.

Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be considered:

1. Financial Need (mandatory)

  • The applicant must demonstrate clear financial constraints that would otherwise prevent them from attending the EFPSA Congress 2026.

  • Financial need must be explained through written responses in the scholarship application form, including:

    • A clear description of the applicant’s financial situation;

    • Why attending the Congress would not be possible without financial support;

    • Whether the applicant has access to other sources of funding (e.g., university grants, family support), and if not, why.

  • Applicants must submit supporting documents to substantiate their financial situation (e.g., proof of student status with limited income, income statements, confirmation of lack of institutional funding). Documents may be anonymised to protect personal information.

  • All (financial) information will be treated as strictly confidential, assessed only by a designated group within the Organising Committee, and used solely for the purpose of scholarship selection.

2. Standard Participation Requirements

Applicants must meet all standard participation requirements of the EFPSA Congress 2026. This means the applicant must:

  • Be a psychology student or recent graduate eligible under the EFPSA Congress ticket categories;

  • Be affiliated with an EFPSA Member Organisation, or otherwise eligible to participate according to EFPSA participation rules;

  • Be able to attend the Congress for the full duration, from 23 to 29 March 2026;

  • Submit a complete and valid scholarship application through the official scholarship application form, including all mandatory information and motivation questions.

Failure to meet any of these requirements results in automatic ineligibility.

3. Financial Commitment and Cost Awareness

  • The applicant must explicitly confirm awareness that:

    • The total cost for accommodation, including all meals included in the standard ticket, for the full Congress week is €460.90 (including tourist tax);

    • The scholarship covers covers 50% of this amount;

    • If selected, the applicant is required to pay the remaining €230,45.

  • The application must confirm that they are able and willing to pay €230,45 before the deadline as set by the Organising Committee. The deadline will be communicated after the application process.

4. Binding Acceptance and Cancellation Policy

  • Acceptance of the scholarship is binding.

  • By accepting the scholarship, the applicant commits to:

    • Attending the Congress for the full duration (23 - 29 March 2026).

    • Paying the remaining €230,45 in full before the deadline as set by the Organising Committee, which will be communicated after the application process.

  • Cancellation after acceptance is not possible, regardless of reason.

  • No waiting list applies to scholarship places. If a scholarship is withdrawn, the Organising Committee reserves the right to decide whether the place will be reassigned.

5. Application Deadline and Selection

  • Scholarship applications must be submitted before 18/01/2026 (23:59 CET)

  • Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.

  • A maximum of five applicants will be awarded a scholarship. The Organising Committee reserves the right to amend the number of available scholarships at its discretion. Any changes will be communicated to applicants.

6. Final Clause

The Organising Committee reserves the right to interpret and apply these criteria and to make the final selection. All decisions are final.
