Talk (non)psychology to me

As students we are taught to use professional vocabulary, to express ourselves as psychologists would, and to be precise when using terms known within the field of psychology. But what happens after we finish college and enter the job market? When all of a sudden, we are no longer surrounded by professors and other psychology students that understand our terminology but rather with people who connect the word ‘OCEAN' to a body of water instead of personality traits?
Whether you will collaborate with professionals from different fields or have clients of your own, one of the barriers you will come across is language. In a world where psychological terms are misused even when said in common language, knowing how to properly ‘’translate’’ core psychological concepts into clear and understandable words is a skill worth having.

By the end of this training, you will be able to recognise common communication barriers, identify the core message of a psychological concept without relying on technical language and communicate psychological concepts clearly to non-psychologists using shared language and framing. Join me in this training and let's learn how NOT to talk psychology like professionals!
