Service-learning: A bridge between academia and community

Service-learning is a high-impact educational practice that connects academic learning with community engagement. It gives students an opportunity to practice their skills while simultaneously helping community members grow and develop. This lecture will focus on service-learning programme design, partnership building, student supervision, and assessment, while highlighting the educational, social, and institutional value of integrating real-world service into curricula. Additionally, service-learning courses for psychology students at University of Zagreb will be presented as examples of good practice.
